Hello! My name is Jennifer Sticker. I am excited to work with the 6th grade students and parents this year! We have a great team and we are ready to work together to help the students achieve success!
I have been teaching for fourteen years. I have taught 6th grade social studies for my entire teaching career and have occasionally taught an additional reading or math class.
I received my degree from the University of North Alabama. My favorite subject is history, but I also have a deep love for art. I was an art major prior to switching to education.
I was born in Marietta, Georgia and moved to Alabama in 3rd grade. All of my extended family still lives in the suburbs of Atlanta. My parents and one brother (Alan) still live here, in Harvest. If I could live anywhere, I would choose a quiet piece of land in the woods. I would , however, need an open space for a big vegetable garden!
I have two beautiful daughters. Caroline is in 5th grade at Moores Mill Intermediate School. She loves to play softball and geocaching. Katie Ann is three and loves to play with her toys.
One interesting fact about me is that I love party planning. I make hand-made cards and birthday cakes. When I was in high school, I was a cake decorator in a grocery store. Planning a party is almost as fun as inventing new simulations for my classroom!
