Hello! I would consider myself a veteran teacher. I have taught in Madison County for 19 years. I went to college at UAB to study Nursing. I was a member of the UAB Golden Girl dance team, a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, and I was a little sister for the TKE fraternity.
After three years and working in the Juvenile Court System, I realized teaching was my true calling. I returned to Huntsville, finished my undergraduate degree, and graduated from Athens State University. I then decided to pursue my Master’s degree, and graduated from Alabama A&M University. I began my next step in life, which was Educational Leadership/Administration courses. Needless to say, my love for daily and personal interaction with students, has me placing the last educational milestone on hold.
I was born and raised in this area. I’m married to my best friend, and we have one son who will turn 18 in October. He is currently playing football in high school. We’ve been extremely proud, because as a sophomore, he earned a starting position on the Varsity team. Once we get our son started in college, I'll probably work on my Doctorate in order to teach at a University.....most likely in…. "The Sunshine State."
I love animals. My first child was a four-legged one, a Pomeranian, named Brandy. She would’ve been 17 years old. Since then, we’ve adopted another fur baby named Pixie.
Several interesting facts about me are that I love exploring old cemeteries and researching them. Travel is my all-time favorite hobby. I was a gymnast, a dancer for 15 years, and a cheerleader for 6 years. I owned a business called Acrobatic Extremes.
My dream for the future is to open a school that educates students on daily, functional, and behavioral skills. My expertise with troubled teens will always be my passion. If I dream it, I DO it!
